Villanova: Tournament Ready, Since Day One
GO NOVA!
Let’s hope there’s no phantom traveling call like in ‘o5 against the ‘heels.
Jay Wright has been on Facebook for 1.5 days and already has 1000 fans. So much gets accomplished during my day..
FINAL FOUR BABY!

‘If history repeats itself, I’ll take it,’ coach Jay Wright says of Villanova’s pursuit of its second national title.

“The play that put Villanova in the Final Four [and beat Pitt 78-76] should be known as the Dual Homage,” writes SI.com’s Luke Winn. “The inbounds pass to Dante Cunningham was in the same style of the bomb that Valparaiso threw to Bill Jenkins — to set up Bryce Drew — in 1998, in that both teams entered the ball to a leaping big man rather than the shooter. And the three-quarter-court race that Scottie Reynolds (left) went on after receiving the ball from Cunningham was reminiscent of the mad dash that UCLA‘s Tyus Edney used to beat Missouri in 1995. What sets Reynolds’s play apart is what was at stake: Nova’s first trip to the Final Four since 1985 — not just a win in the first weekend of the dance.” – Luke Winn

This is how I roll into Philly for race weekend.
And an interview with Jay Wright and more of the game-winning play.

Georgetown loses and ‘Nova in the Sweet Sixteen.. could my weekend get any better?!
Also.. dpnation is now officially on Facebook! Become a fan here.
And, and oldie but a goodie.. microwaving peeps.
boyfriends of the moment!

I heart Scottie Reynolds, Jay Wright.. and March Madness.
Boyfriend of the moment alert!
Chris Long, the son of Hall of Famer (and Villanova alum), Howie Long, and DE for UVA. Now the bigger question is, do I love him more than Heath Miller or Wali Lundy?
.. I might.
One of the greatest times of the year.. only to compete with the SuperBowl, Opening Day, New Years Day football, and anything to do with the World Cup.
jfromfar: Seriously, Dana, I know I completely sexually harrass you, and don’t worry, I will continue to do so.
jfromfar: But you are the greatest sports loving woman on Earth.
jfromfar: I would have made you stand under the Villanova logo and made out with you.
jfromfar: You know, like Mistletoe, but in March.
To sum up: COOOOOLD!
In Vermont I ________:
- ate some moose
- shot some guns quite effectively (with some Ivy Leaguers, go figure)
- chopped some wood (technically I spectated, but the requested flannel shirt was a nice touch)
- watched a lotta football (so what else is new?)
- was cooked for the whole weekend (man chef in the making?)
In Boston I ______:
- visited some schools (officially)
- bonded with a Villanova turned BC girl (sign of things to come?)
- hit up Newbury Street (twice)
- discovered the wonderous world of Ralph Lauren Rugby (I’m surprised Visa didn’t call concerned that my card wasn’t stolen)
- met KMM’s BF! (!!!)
- did NOT go to Niketown (since I’ve already been there before)
as many of you know, I’m quite the tshirt design girl. Unfortunately, my archiving skills are not quite up to par, and I’m looking for some that have gone astray – specifically because I’m putting together my portfolio, like this week.
Does anyone remember what designs I’ve done? 9T9 frosh chorus, South Carolina Spring Breaker, etc.
I’m missing:
Jr/Sr from 1998
Junior Carnival 1997
Also I can’t remember which rowing shirts I did either, so if anyone one remembers please give a shout.

Nikipink99: Your website should be officially banned. I periodically find my mouse shimmying to *My Favorites – dpnation.net*. I start with the dpisms, then check for any new artwork, and of course always bid hello to Ryan and have a mini jam session. Only problem is that when I finally look up, I’m apprx half a bottle of wine into the night, Keith is long passed out, and my accounting book is staring at me and giving me subliminal messages- i.e. “you’re supposed to be reading me b*tch”. So thanks for the unproductiveness you promote. really. as if myspace wasn’t bad enough.
Nikipink99: and if you’re wondering, no, I didn’t just check your website. It magically appeared on my screen. sneaky bastard.
Nikipink99: seriously
Nikipink99: you’re brilliant

Build your music station, discover new artists similar to your favorites. Equally time consuming and addictive.

A guy from armchairgm.com passed this list of suggestions to me now that my (and probably yours too) bracket is completely and utterly busted.
Ten Things to Do Now That Your Bracket is Busted
It’s like wiki for sports, definitely worth a check.
Blogger is still being a pain and not letting me upload pictures, which is the whole point of today’s entry. So maybe even later..
Also, the BC/nova trashtalk is already on and we still got 4 more days to go..
Blogger is being a bitch (more than usual) so today’s post on the Holy War coming up this Friday will be on its way at some point on Monday, so check back.. (and curse Blogger for sucking).
SI.com Game to Watch:
Monmouth (18-14) vs. Hampton (16-15) , 7:30 pm ET, ESPN
What’s on the line in the NCAA Tournament’s play-in game? The good: the winner goes to the Big Dance. The bad: the winner travels to Philadelphia to take a beating from Villanova. http://sportsillustrated.cnn.com/scorecard/
Back in the ATL – aka the traffic, smog and ungodly work hours.. I’m not really sure why I left Montana?
Quick recap of the glorious weekend in Missoula until Slams emails me a couple more pics (hint)

The cutest dog in the world, Alice. She also took me for a ride on the trail, until I had enough sense to unleash her.

Fresh powder with professional ski girl Amber, who clearly can ski better than she can walk.
Also, let’s play a game to guess how many emails I have waiting for me at work.. over/under 500. Fortunately/unfortunately I have tomm off, though sacrificing my entire weekend all in the name of being a good worker. Hey, maybe I’ll be caught up on email by then. Which, for the record, I only checked gmail ONCE during my vacation, which has got to be a record.
and PS, that first pic is the view from the mountain next to Amber’s house. Which rivals my view of IKEA. Or, not.
